Flag Ceremony
A flag retirement ceremony is a solemn, respectful public event where worn, faded, or tattered flags are destroyed and disposed of in a dignified manner, typically by burning. The tradition honors the nation and the sacrifices made to protect the freedoms the flag represents

| American Legion Post 100 is built on the foundation to provide daily support and services to families, military members, veterans and the overall community of Bethel. Our goal is to maintain the highest level of commitment to our country and honor those who have come before us and given the ultimate sacrifice. We welcome all to join and support our endeavors. We may be reached at: (203) 616 5523 Meetings are held the 2d Tuesday of the month September through June. Dinner is served at 6pm. Regular meetings start at 7PM. |
Veterans (men or women) who are new to Bethel may join the American Legion, if they have qualifying active service. Come to a meeting, bring a copy of your DD-214, or call the Adjutant. Post dues for 2026 are $45 per year effective July 1st 2025 Transfers do not pay any additional dues.
